As a result of friendly relationships with Lithuanian “ultras” Lviv supporters of “Karpaty” received invitation to take part in an international tournament (January 25-27). Our football club provided fans with a bus, on which 16 persons headed for Lithuania and subsequently represented Ukraine on a football pitch. The football club allocated a bus, on which 16 persons got an opportunity to represent Ukraine on a football field. A team of 11 players and 5 supporters headed for Panevezys (Lithuania). “Karpaty” easily went through the qualifying stage showing on the way the following results: 7:1 against “Skonto”, 5:1 against local “Ekranas” and 2:2 against “Banga”. Unfortunately our team could not reach the final because in the semifinal match “Karpaty” lost to “Suduva” fans 2:3. “Suduva” also was involved in a conflict taken place in the final match against “Zalgiris”, players of which protested referee’s decisions, lost the game (technical defeat 0:3) and then refused to receive silver medals.
