For the last game of the year 2009 “green-white” supporters arrived in Donetsk on the day before the match just like their favorite players of “Karpaty” team . Apart from providing support for the favorite football club, there was an idea to play another away friendly game. As FC “Karpaty”s opponents “Metalurh” do not have really huge army of supporters, we decided to face the fans of another FC from Donetsk i.e. “Shakhtar”. Saturday, December 12, 19:00. Sport hall somewhere in suburbs of Donetsk. “Shaktar” Ultras started the game with powerful attacks as a proper home team. And in the middle of the first half they succeeded. Then Karpatians also started to play some decent football, the forces on the pitch were equal, but the result in the end of the first half was 3:1, “Karpaty” were trailing. During the break lvivites made proper conclusions, changed a game scheme, and started scoring goals from the very beginning of the second half. Ironically the goalkeeper of our opponents wore a shirt with a name of ex-player of FC “Karpaty” and now the goalie of “Metalurh” Bohdan Shust…As a result – we won 5:3. Leaving the sport hall we all were hoping that on Monday our idols would score just as many goals to Mr Shust…
